Ceribell is a medical technology company transforming the diagnosis and management of serious neurological conditions through its point-of-care EEG platform. The Ceribell System enables rapid seizure detection in acute care settings across hundreds of community hospitals and academic facilities.
As Medical Director of Critical Care, you will be a key member of the management team providing medical oversight, expertise, and strategic leadership. You will drive Ceribell's expansion into new clinical indications, support product development, and implement clinical trials to build evidence for market adoption.
Your primary responsibilities include:
Strategy: Lead medical strategy and planning; support clinical, marketing, and product initiatives.
Peer-to-Peer Engagement (~70% sales): Directly engage hospital customers from pre-purchase through executive discussions and workflow implementation. Educate the sales team on customer engagement. Develop a network of physician advocates to expand Ceribell's reach.
Marketing Support (~10%): Engage medical societies, support advisory boards, deliver talks and webinars representing Ceribell.
Evidence Generation (~10%): Partner on post-market evidence including publication strategy, retrospective studies, and investigator-initiated trial management. Identify and develop key opinion leader relationships for sponsored trials. Build a network of fellows and residents for research support. Support regulatory trial design. Monitor latest literature for medical opportunities.
Cross-Functional Medical Expertise (~10%): Advise Product and R&D teams on future development. Interface with FDA and payers on regulatory and reimbursement matters.
You will be a visible advocate educating healthcare providers on neurological patient monitoring, helping reduce EEG setup time from 4 hours to under 10 minutes. You will represent Ceribell at scientific conferences and advisory boards defining global standards of care.
