As Medical Director, you will serve as the right hand to the CMO, Dr. Joel Spitz, and lead clinical strategy across the rapidly scaling provider network. This is a director-level operational role requiring both strategic vision and hands-on execution.
Key responsibilities include:
**Clinical Workflow & Condition Pathway Development**: Design and launch clinical workflows for new and existing dermatological conditions. Partner with the CMO and Clinical Ops to develop innovative treatment protocols grounded in evidence and best practice. Collaborate with Product to translate clinical workflows into platform functionality including provider dashboards, decision support tools, and patient-facing care journeys. Support research initiatives with academic and pharmaceutical partners.
**Provider Network Leadership**: Oversee clinical performance across the remote dermatology workforce. Lead provider onboarding, training, and ongoing development. Drive productivity and quality through structured coaching and performance frameworks including scorecards, quarterly reviews, and productivity benchmarks. Assist in AI initiatives to augment provider performance. Coordinate CME programming and clinical events.
**Clinical Quality & Compliance**: Build correction workflows and monitor strict adherence to treatment protocols. Measure and report on treatment outcomes, flagging trends for clinical review. Create and manage patient escalation workflows. Develop regulatory-grade SOPs and SLAs to ensure audit-readiness. Oversee QA evaluation systems assessing provider documentation, patient communication, and treatment decisions.
In your first 180 days, you will: (1) design and roll out treatment workflows for at least one new or existing condition; (2) personally meet every provider 1:1 to assess strengths, gaps, and establish performance frameworks; (3) stand up QA systems, SOPs, and escalation workflows to ensure consistency of care at scale.

Operational experience as a senior operator at a large dermatology network (Schweiger, Forefront, Integrated) and/or management consulting, PE, or military background with MBA. Demonstrated experience building clinical systems, SOPs, and quality frameworks within large dermatology networks, telehealth platforms, or managed care organizations. Analytical, metrics-driven mindset with comfort defining KPIs and translating data into operational change. Structured, detail-oriented operator thriving in environments requiring both big-picture protocol design and granular chart-level review.
Nice-to-haves: Telehealth or DTC healthcare platform experience, familiarity with AI-assisted clinical review tools, EMR optimization experience, or academic research/pharma collaboration background.
