Voyager Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Engineer V - Test, a senior technical expert to lead complex testing programs for defense, national security, and space technology solutions. This is a staff-level individual contributor role focused on test assembly, integration, and analysis for mission-critical systems. Key Responsibilities: - Lead test activities and design complex test setups, developing custom fixtures and optimizing testing processes - Demonstrate extensive expertise in data acquisition systems, statistical modeling, multivariate analysis, time series analysis, and measurement techniques - Serve as a recognized authority in test strategy and execution, capable of handling large-scale, high-risk test programs - Troubleshoot instrumentation and analyze measurement uncertainties - Provide expert technical guidance on complex testing challenges - Develop and communicate test plans, strategies, and results through technical documentation and presentations - Understand electromechanical actuators, igniters, pressure vessels, solid rocket motor systems, hot gas valves, and thrusters - Apply CAD expertise to create intricate 2D/3D designs, technical drawings, and interpret GD&T symbols - Coordinate testing with systems engineering, verification, and validation activities - Understand reliability, safety principles, risk management, and requirements analysis - Possess foundational knowledge of propellant chemistry, combustion principles, grain geometry, and internal ballistics Required Qualifications: - Extensive experience in test assembly, integration, and data acquisition - Advanced expertise in statistical analysis and measurement techniques - Strong communication skills in technical writing and presentation - Proficiency in CAD and technical drawing interpretation - Understanding of systems engineering and acquisition life cycles - Knowledge of aerospace/defense propulsion systems and ballistics - Ability to lead technical teams and manage complex test programs This role is ideal for a seasoned mechanical engineer with deep expertise in aerospace or defense testing who wants to make a direct impact on mission-critical technology development.
