Fuse Energy is a well-funded renewable energy startup ($200M+ raised from top-tier investors including Balderton, Accel, Lakestar, and others) building an integrated energy company. The company develops solar, battery storage, grid infrastructure, and distributed energy solutions for homes, combining hardware, software, AI, and real-time power trading to make energy abundant and affordable.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work across the full product development lifecycle—from concept and design through construction and commissioning. You'll collaborate with diverse teams to bring renewable energy technologies to market, engaging in technical problem-solving, R&D, and business development activities. Your responsibilities include:
- Collaborate within cross-functional teams across all phases of engineering development: concept, design, construction, and commissioning
- Analyze and interpret experimental and simulation data to drive process improvements and innovation
- Conduct research and development to enhance current processes, explore new sustainable technologies, and assess emerging market opportunities globally
- Ensure all technologies comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations and standards
- Engage in diverse projects spanning feasibility studies, system design, certification, design-for-manufacture, and production launch
This role extends beyond traditional engineering—you'll also contribute to market research, techno-feasibility evaluations, and business development activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Process, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Strong technical foundation in engineering design, commissioning, or operational engineering
- Proven track record of solving technical engineering problems in your field
- Excellent analytical skills with creative and innovative thinking ability
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaborative environments
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Passion for renewable energy and sustainability
