Wave is building financial services for Africa, enabling millions of users across 9 countries to send money, deposit cash, and make payments via mobile—without fees or bank branches. As Marketing Manager in Banjul, you'll report to the Senior Marketing Manager and own end-to-end execution of marketing campaigns and customer-facing initiatives that strengthen Wave's market presence in The Gambia. You'll develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with business objectives, leading major campaigns from planning through launch. Your responsibilities include identifying opportunities to improve customer acquisition, engagement, and retention while ensuring all activities reflect deep understanding of customer needs. You'll manage marketing projects independently, developing timelines, proactively managing risks and dependencies, and coordinating with internal teams (Payments, Biz-dev, Sales, Product Marketing, Support) and external agencies. Creative development is core to the role: you'll brief design teams and agencies, participate in creative reviews, and ensure all materials align with Wave's brand standards. You'll also manage stakeholder relationships, draft marketing cycle reports, and oversee agency/vendor relationships for high-quality execution. The role requires at least 5 years of marketing experience, a bachelor's or master's degree in marketing, communications, sales, or business development, and fluency in English. You must have work authorization in The Gambia.
