Handshake is the career network for the AI economy, serving 25 million knowledge workers, 1,600 educational institutions, and 1 million employers (including 100% of the Fortune 50). The company tripled ARR in 2025 and is now building a new business that helps companies securely license high-quality, non-public operational data to leading AI labs.
This is the founding marketing leadership role for the supply side of this new data marketplace. You will own the complete marketing strategy and execution, setting segmentation, positioning, channel priorities, and investment decisions. You will build and optimize the acquisition funnel across paid, outbound, referral, partner, product, and lifecycle channels, measuring success through qualified pipeline and revenue.
You will launch the first campaigns, landing pages, nurture programs, and sales materials while creating playbooks for scaling. You'll develop distinct go-to-market motions for high-velocity opportunities, strategic deals, and partner-led acquisition. You'll also establish the enrichment, intent, automation, attribution, and reporting systems needed to scale.
You will work directly with Handshake's senior leadership team and across sales, operations, product, and legal. You have the autonomy to build a new growth engine from the ground up, with support from Handshake's broader marketing organization. As the business and GTM motion prove out, there may be an opportunity to shape and lead a dedicated marketing team.
Handshake offers equity in a fast-growing company, competitive compensation with 401(k) match, paid parental leave, fertility benefits, medical/dental/vision, mental health support, $500 wellness stipend, $2,000 learning stipend, flexible PTO, 15 holidays plus 2 flex days, and remote/office flexibility with free lunch and gym access at the SF office.
