Despegar (Decolar), part of the Prosus ecosystem, is a leading travel technology platform in Latin America with over 25 years of innovation. This role is the central operator of Decolar's hotel chain commercial engine in Brazil, responsible for managing high-impact hotel network accounts and driving measurable revenue, share, and retention results.
As Market Manager for Chains, you are the trusted advisor and primary commercial contact for a portfolio of hotel networks of varying sizes and brands. You operate at the intersection of strategic partnership and tactical execution, serving as the go-to interlocutor for regional commercial directors, corporate revenue managers, and key account managers. Your role is to understand the hotel network's business as deeply as you understand Decolar's platform, enabling you to provide consultative recommendations on pricing, media investment, inventory strategy, and seasonal positioning.
Key responsibilities include: building and maintaining executive-level trust relationships with portfolio stakeholders; owning end-to-end commercial results (revenue, market share, conversion, retention) by network and brand; conducting complex negotiations on tariffs, inventory, paid media, promotions, and commercial terms; delivering data-driven market analysis and positioning recommendations; maintaining consistent business review cadences with corporate teams; building diagnostic analyses in Excel, Metabase, and Power BI; translating product, pricing, and distribution updates into concrete value for partners; serving as the voice of the market to internal product, revenue, and operations teams; representing Decolar at industry events and field visits; and developing local engagement initiatives.
You will operate with significant autonomy in a dynamic environment, navigating complex corporate approval structures without requiring escalation for each decision. This is a consultative commercial operator role, not a farmer role—success is measured by output and results, not activity.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 6–10 years of experience in consultative B2B portfolio management in travel tech, online hospitality, SaaS, digital media, or adjacent sectors, with relevant exposure to national or international hotel networks
- Proven track record of building trust relationships with senior stakeholders in complex corporate structures with multiple decision-making levels
- Demonstrated history of meeting quarterly and annual targets with measurable results in revenue, share, or retention across hotel network portfolios
- Fluency in CRM and disciplined book-of-business management across multiple brands and simultaneous stakeholders
- Advanced Excel proficiency; Power BI and Metabase competency; SQL knowledge is a plus
- Knowledge of online hotel distribution: Channel Manager, APIs, pricing techniques, revenue management, inventory management, and network parity dynamics (strong differentiator)
- Ability to operate simultaneously at strategic and tactical levels—from negotiating with regional directors to optimizing campaigns with property revenue managers
- Autonomy and ownership in dynamic contexts; self-sufficient, solution-oriented, capable of advancing without waiting for instruction
- High-level verbal and written communication skills; able to lead meetings with global chain VPs and regional network general managers
- Availability for frequent travel within assigned region
- Native Portuguese; mandatory English; Spanish is a plus
- Passion for travel and online hospitality business
