Overland AI, founded in 2022 and headquartered in Seattle, is transforming land operations for modern defense through autonomous ground vehicles. The Manufacturing Engineer, NPI role supports the vehicle production team in developing and launching autonomous off-road vehicles. You will apply Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) expertise to support integration of mechanical and electrical subsystems through prototype and early-production builds. Working at the intersection of design, prototyping, and system-level problem-solving, you will translate new designs into practical, repeatable manufacturing processes.
Key responsibilities include: developing and refining manufacturing integration flows that decompose the Ultra vehicle platform into logical subassemblies and build sequences; maintaining configuration control across multi-level BOMs as hardware evolves; collaborating with design engineering to drive design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-integration (DFI) feedback; translating engineering intent into clear build documentation (torque specs, harness routing, inspections, tests); and driving continuous improvement through hands-on engagement with engineering technicians on the shop floor.
