Precision for Medicine seeks a Managing Director for Investor Relations to lead strategic client advisory and business development within their biotech/healthcare IR practice. This is a people-management role overseeing a team of junior staff while maintaining a 75% utilization target on 7-10 client accounts. Key responsibilities include: strategic leadership of a portfolio of biotech and healthcare clients at various stages (preclinical through commercial); crafting bespoke investor engagement strategies; drafting and reviewing high-impact materials (investor presentations, earnings scripts, press releases); leading client calls and providing strategic counsel to C-suite executives on messaging and market positioning; overseeing tactical delivery including roadshows, investor events, and research projects; and managing client engagements, retainers, and invoicing. Team leadership duties encompass managing and developing junior staff, conducting annual reviews, fostering professional growth, and championing a collaborative, purpose-driven culture. The role also includes business development responsibilities: identifying and pitching new opportunities, supporting marketing initiatives, cultivating relationships with investors and analysts, and serving as a subject matter expert on biotech/healthcare IR at industry events and conferences. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of relevant experience in finance, healthcare, communications, or consulting (agency experience preferred). Must demonstrate exceptional communication and strategic thinking skills, confidence in C-suite settings, proven team management and employee development experience, and deep networks within the investment community and biotech ecosystem. Bachelor's degree required. Occasional travel expected for client events and roadshows.
