Willow Wealth, a leading private markets investment platform with $6.9B+ invested since inception, is seeking a Managing Director, Head of Direct Investments to lead the company's direct investing strategy across private credit, real estate, and private equity. This is a strategic hire reporting directly to the CIO and serving as a key member of the investments team.
The Head of Direct Investments will be responsible for setting long-term investment vision and driving new originations in direct investments. The role is instrumental in Willow Wealth's evolution into a marketplace for retail investors to locate and evaluate private investments across the risk spectrum. Key responsibilities include:
• Developing and executing the direct investment strategy across private market assets
• Sourcing, evaluating, and closing direct deals to populate the marketplace
• Forging and deepening relationships with top-tier investment managers
• Identifying and structuring differentiated investment opportunities
• Ensuring the platform delivers on both performance and accessibility for retail investors
• Managing internal and sub-advisory teams overseeing the existing portfolio of assets
• Earning investor trust through consistent performance, clear communication, and ongoing education
The ideal candidate will have deep experience in private markets investing, a track record of successful deal sourcing and structuring, and the ability to translate complex investment opportunities for a retail audience. This role requires strategic thinking, relationship management, and the ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
