Anduril Industries seeks a Managing Director to lead Advanced Infrared Solutions (AIRS), a recently acquired infrared imaging business unit based in Hudson, New Hampshire. In this role, you will serve as the site lead and single owner of AIRS execution across all business functions—strategy, operations, revenue, and financial performance.
You will report to the Imaging Business Line General Manager and own the complete P&L for AIRS, with primary accountability for revenue targets and on-time delivery of cooled infrared cameras and Integrated Dewar Cooler Assemblies (IDCAs). Your responsibilities span:
**Revenue & Growth**: Drive external merchant-supplier business expansion alongside internal production for Anduril's imaging products. Develop commercial pricing strategy, expand existing customer accounts, and pursue new markets across defense, space, and commercial sectors. Collaborate with the Director of Business Development to build a robust pipeline and growth process.
**Product & R&D Strategy**: Define the IDCA product roadmap by identifying market and customer needs. Direct internal R&D investments to differentiate AIRS's cooled IR and IDCA products and align development with market direction.
**Operations & Manufacturing**: Serve as the senior on-site leader accountable for safe, high-quality, on-time delivery. Execute against production output, throughput, and quality standards. Scale manufacturing capacity to grow external output in line with divisional mandates and own supply chain resilience for critical materials.
**Business Operations**: Drive day-to-day operations including financial tracking, staffing and hiring, corporate governance, and facilities management. Work cross-functionally with finance, recruiting, security, and other corporate teams. Manage financial performance against budget and margin targets, track financial health, control operating expenses, and develop strategies to drive toward divisional margin targets.
This is a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment requiring strong leadership, operational excellence, strategic thinking, and the ability to balance quick-turn problem-solving with long-term business building. You will work closely with Anduril's broader leadership team and have direct command over program management, engineering, production, and growth functions.
