Salary: USD 97,800 - 119,800 / annual

As Manager of Underwriting, you will lead and develop a high-performing global underwriting team responsible for making sound credit decisions on new loan applications, credit line increases, and escalated cases. You'll serve as a subject matter expert in cash flow underwriting, driving consistency, decision quality, and operational excellence across Credit Operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing the underwriting team while maintaining an individual case queue workload
- Coaching, mentoring, and developing direct reports with strong feedback and performance management
- Partnering with the Head of Credit Operations and cross-functional stakeholders to optimize underwriting workflows and improve queue management
- Building deep understanding of BlueVine's credit models, policies, and systems to support development of underwriting tools and best practices
- Collaborating with fraud and risk operations teams to identify emerging trends, implement process improvements, and drive automation opportunities
- Building strong cross-functional relationships and influencing stakeholders across business teams
- Maintaining SLAs while ensuring high-quality customer experience through effective communication
Required qualifications: 8+ years of underwriting experience in credit, consumer/business lending, banking, or similar fields. Strong people management skills with experience providing feedback and developing direct reports. Cash flow underwriting experience preferred. BA/BS in Business Administration, Finance, or similar field. Impeccable judgment, attention to detail, and familiarity with underwriting loans, financial statements, and tax documents. Experience leveraging AI tools to improve workflows is preferred.
