Simulmedia is seeking an experienced Manager of TV Media Investment & Partnerships to lead hands-on media buying and partnership development across the U.S. television ecosystem. The company builds technology and data products that make television advertising more seamless and data-driven for advertisers, buyers, and media sellers.
In this role, you will be the primary external-facing media expert responsible for buying and negotiating U.S. television inventory (Linear TV, Direct Response TV, and Connected TV) directly with national networks and media sellers. You will negotiate rates, inventory, terms, and broader media agreements while building and deepening relationships across the TV ecosystem and establishing new media partnerships.
You will serve as an internal subject-matter expert on U.S. TV marketplace dynamics—pricing, inventory, dayparts, clearance, stewardship, and makegoods. Working closely with the SVP of Business Development, you will support the development of media partnerships and commercial opportunities. You will also partner closely with Product and Operations teams to translate real-world TV buying and selling practices into product requirements and operational improvements, helping identify opportunities to make TV transactions simpler and more efficient.
Additionally, you will collaborate with Finance and Legal teams to align on commercial terms and support media agreements. This is a hands-on role that requires comfort moving fluidly between media negotiations, partner relationship management, and internal strategic discussions.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in U.S. television media with significant hands-on media buying experience
- Deep knowledge of Linear TV, including experience negotiating scatter and Direct Response TV
- Detailed understanding of how U.S. television inventory is priced, negotiated, purchased, and managed
- Strong knowledge of TV media math, inventory, clearance, stewardship, and makegoods
- Experience working directly with major U.S. TV networks and media sellers
- Familiarity with Connected TV (CTV) and the broader video advertising ecosystem
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
- Ability to bring practical marketplace knowledge into Product and Operations discussions
- Comfort being hands-on and moving between media investment negotiations, partner meetings, and internal product discussions
- Must be able to work from Simulmedia's New York City office five days a week
