Carrot Fertility is seeking a Manager of Telemedicine Operations to lead the day-to-day operations of its telemedicine clinic and directly manage a team of registered nurses. This is a working manager role that combines people leadership with hands-on operational ownership.
You will directly manage a team of registered nurses and clinical staff, owning hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and professional development. You'll be accountable for team coverage, workload management, and day-to-day success through regular 1:1s and clear performance expectations.
Operationally, you will own scheduling, coverage, and workflow management for the telemedicine clinic, resolving bottlenecks that affect patient or provider experience. You'll serve as the operational owner of Carrot's EMR, including configuration and upkeep of clinical content (programs, clinical forms, and settings) in partnership with clinical leadership. You'll manage clinical operations queues and workflows including chat operations, coverage assignment, labs, and faxing with timely follow-through and defined escalation paths.
You will manage the relationship with Carrot's external provider staffing vendor, handling coverage forecasting, provider scheduling, onboarding logistics, and accountability to coverage, documentation, and responsiveness expectations. You'll serve as the operational point person for the telemedicine platform and related clinical tools, coordinating with IT and Product on issues, enhancements, and vendor management.
Additional responsibilities include supporting development and version control of clinical protocols, SOPs, and policies; owning the provider Playbook and job aids; supporting quality assurance including chart review and quality metric tracking; and tracking operational KPIs such as visit volume, wait times, no-show rates, and SLA compliance to give leadership visibility into operational health.
In your first 12–18 months, success means building and retaining a fully staffed, high-performing nursing team; establishing reliable day-to-day clinic operations; taking full operational ownership of the EMR; standing up regular KPI reporting; bringing the provider staffing vendor to consistent accountability; and maturing quality assurance processes to support program scaling.
