Addepar is a global data and AI platform serving 1,500+ firms across 60 countries, managing nearly $10 trillion in assets. The company unifies portfolio, market, and client data to deliver AI-powered insights for investment professionals.
You will lead Addepar's APAC talent acquisition function from the Pune office in a player-coach capacity. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on recruiting: you'll build and develop a team of recruiters while personally owning a portfolio of high-priority, senior, and complex requisitions across Go-to-Market (Sales & Services), R&D (Engineering, AI, Data, Product), and G&A (Finance, Legal, People, IT) functions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, coaching, and developing a regional recruiter team with clear goal-setting, feedback, and talent development
- Personally managing end-to-end recruiting for critical, senior, and complex roles from intake through offer close
- Setting APAC recruiting strategy in partnership with regional and global leaders, translating company-wide hiring goals into a regional plan that reflects local market realities
- Operating effectively in a matrix organization, balancing global standards with local hiring manager and business unit needs
- Building trust-based relationships with hiring managers and business leaders to understand staffing needs and advise on hiring strategy
- Driving workforce planning conversations to help leaders think ahead of open requisitions
- Leveraging AI and modern recruiting tools (sourcing, screening, scheduling, candidate engagement) to improve speed, quality, and consistency
- Using recruiting metrics (time to fill, pipeline health, source effectiveness, offer acceptance) to diagnose bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement
- Ensuring excellent, high-touch candidate experience and representing Addepar's employer brand across APAC
- Staying current on employment law, hiring practices, and market compensation trends across APAC countries in scope
- Partnering with university recruiting and campus programs to build long-term talent pipelines
Requirements:
- 8-10+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience, including at least 5-7 years directly managing and developing a recruiter team
- Proven experience recruiting across multiple functions (GTM, R&D, G&A/Corporate), not just a single specialty, with flexibility across technical, commercial, and operational hiring
- Experience operating in matrix or global organizations, working across functional and geographic reporting lines and building consensus without formal authority
- Player-coach mentality: equally comfortable setting strategy and managing live requisitions
- Strong track record using data and recruiting metrics to make decisions, communicate to leadership, and hold teams accountable
- Hands-on experience with AI-enabled recruiting tools and modern sourcing technology (AI sourcing/screening, conversational scheduling, GenAI-assisted workflows)
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (Greenhouse preferred) and broader recruiting tech stack
- Deep familiarity with APAC talent markets and employment landscape across relevant countries; working knowledge of local employment law and compliance
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; ability to influence senior leaders and adjust style across cultures and seniority levels
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or related field; MBA or relevant certification is a plus
- Legal authorization to work in India required; visa sponsorship not available
