Halter is an agtech company transforming grazing management through innovative technology that enables farmers and graziers to run more productive and sustainable operations. The company is backed by Tier 1 investors including Founders Fund, Bessemer Venture Partners, and others, and is experiencing rapid global expansion.
As Global People Operations Specialist, you will be a critical operational role supporting Halter's fast-paced international growth. Working closely with the People Strategy & Delivery Lead, you will own end-to-end delivery of immigration, visa, and global mobility cases. This is not a back-office role—it requires someone highly organized, detail-oriented, and genuinely energized by enabling Halter to hire and deploy talent globally with confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive end-to-end delivery of immigration and visa cases globally, owning the complete relocation experience for employees moving internationally, including timelines, logistics, and support through complex processes
- Maintain right-to-work compliance and support broader people compliance work (employment law, policy, process) as Halter operates in and enters new markets
- Manage day-to-day relationships with immigration and legal vendors across markets, ensuring requests are actioned and information flows smoothly
- Deliver operational work behind internal employee mobility across markets, including documentation and timelines
- Support other people operations and compliance priorities as they arise, with the role flexing and growing alongside Halter's needs
You will need strong judgment and integrity to navigate sensitive situations, excellent communication skills to bring people along, and exceptional project management to keep complex, multi-threaded processes moving without slipping through the cracks.
Halter operates with an office-first culture (not office-only) emphasizing in-person connection and high-trust flexibility. The company offers unlimited paid annual leave, 6 months fully paid parental leave for primary caregivers, $1,000 annual self-development budget, wellness leave, health insurance partnership, and an employee stock ownership plan.
Requirements:
- Legal background or law degree required
- Experience in a fast-paced, detail-heavy operational role (immigration or mobility experience not required; ability to pick up complex processes quickly is what matters)
- Clear and proactive communicator who writes clearly, speaks confidently, and keeps people informed without needing to be chased for updates
- Comfortable working in situations with ambiguity and pressure
- Strong documentation discipline and organized record-keeping
- Excellent attention to detail with interest in developing project management skills
- High integrity and sound judgment; ability to handle sensitive information with confidence and build trust
