Snowflake is seeking a Manager of Solution Engineering to lead a team of Solutions Engineers based in Brazil, serving the LATAM region. This is a player-coach role combining team leadership with direct customer engagement.
In this role, you will build and lead a highly skilled team of sales engineers who serve as product introduction, evaluation, and education experts for prospects and customers. You will partner directly with sales leadership to achieve regional quota targets, strategize on navigating sales cycles and technical wins, and fuel Snowflake's expansion across LATAM. You'll provide value-based demonstrations, support proof-of-concepts, and close business alongside your sales team and channel partners.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and leading a team of sales engineers, with active involvement in sourcing, screening, and interview management
- Partnering with sales leadership to achieve regional quota targets and build customer relationships
- Providing strategic guidance to revenue leaders on sales strategy, product gaps, and team needs
- Leveraging AI and data analytics expertise to identify patterns, improve technical win rates, and up-level team performance
- Interpreting complex customer problems and collaborating to deliver winning solutions
- Maintaining close working relationships across product, engineering, sales, marketing, and services
- Acting as a player-coach, delivering compelling presentations to customers and prospects
- Owning the technical win forecast at the regional level
Requirements:
- 5+ years of industry experience in a pre-sales capacity with 3+ years of direct line management experience (hiring, training, and retaining talent)
- Industry expertise in Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, and/or AI Agents
- Strong hands-on technical skills in Databases, Data Warehousing, ETL, and Analytics/Data Science
- Experience with cloud-based offerings, including exposure to at least one of the major three cloud providers
- Outstanding presenting skills to both technical and executive audiences (whiteboard, presentations, demos)
- Ability to connect customer business problems to Snowflake's solutions
- Proven entrepreneurial experience developing and launching new territories, teams, or initiatives from scratch
- University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience preferred)
