This is a hands-on management role designed for experienced consultants and strategy professionals ready to transition from advising to operating. Rather than a traditional internal strategy function, you will own high-priority strategic and operational mandates end-to-end, moving from problem diagnosis through implementation and measurable results.
Depending on your background and Intellect's needs, your initial mandate may span:
- Operations: service delivery, workforce planning, quality, efficiency, automation, performance management
- Commercial enablement: sales processes, pipeline management, pricing, proposals, commercial analytics, account planning
- Business performance: management systems, KPIs, operating cadences, and performance interventions
- New products and offerings: identifying unmet needs, developing and validating propositions, building business cases, cross-functional launch and scaling
- Market development: evaluating and developing new markets, customer segments, partnerships, routes to market
- Strategic initiatives: leading high-priority cross-functional work sponsored by senior leadership
- Embedded operating ownership: direct responsibility for a function, team, capability, programme or business area
Key responsibilities include: solving high-priority business problems with structured problem-solving and data-driven analysis; moving from strategy to execution by owning initiatives end-to-end, translating decisions into implementation plans, working alongside execution teams, and tracking results; and building operating capabilities through improved planning, measurement, management systems, cross-functional coordination, and scalable operating models.
You will work directly with functional, market and senior leaders, make sound decisions with incomplete information, and maintain momentum across competing priorities and limited resources. Strong performers will have opportunities to take on broader functional, market or business responsibilities based on demonstrated impact.
Before an offer, Intellect will align with you on a specific initial mandate, title, reporting line, objectives and success measures.
Requirements:
- Approximately 4–10 years of experience, ideally in management consulting, strategy, transformation, professional services or other demanding operating environment
- Strong training in structured problem-solving; ability to bring clarity to complex or ambiguous situations
- Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to independently produce work ready for senior leadership decisions
- Desire to move from advising organisations to helping build and operate one
- Energised by implementation and ownership, not only recommendations or presentations
- Commercially minded; understanding of how operational, customer and financial considerations connect
- Ability to work effectively with incomplete information, competing priorities and limited resources without waiting for perfect certainty
- Highly analytical and comfortable with data, but do not allow analysis to substitute for action
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders while building trust with day-to-day execution teams
- High standards combined with low ego; willingness to move between strategic questions and detailed operational work
- Natural ownership, reliable follow-through, high standards without requiring extensive direction
- Comfortable working across functions, cultures, markets and seniority levels in a fast-moving organisation
- Experience in healthcare, technology, insurance, enterprise services or multi-market businesses is helpful but not required
