1Password is seeking a Manager of Security Incident Response to lead a team of incident responders and security engineers. You will build and scale the incident response program, focusing on automation, tooling, and AI-assisted workflows that make response faster and more scalable. The role blends strong people leadership with technical depth and sound judgment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build and lead a team of incident responders, setting clear expectations, creating ownership, and supporting career development
- Define and drive the security incident response roadmap, including maturing agentic incident response, structured threat hunting, and insider risk investigations
- Scale team capacity through AI-assisted tooling and automation while maintaining appropriate human oversight and controls
- Oversee detection, triage, containment, remediation, and post-incident learning
- Serve as escalation point and incident manager for complex, high-severity events
- Partner cross-functionally to align on response strategy and build effective partnerships
- Balance competing priorities across incident response, strategic initiatives, and team development
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years in security incident response, with 2+ years as a people manager or technical leader
- Experience building or scaling incident response automation, tooling, or AI-assisted workflows
- Strong understanding of cloud-native, SaaS, and identity-driven attack techniques
- Experience managing high-pressure security incidents with clarity and calm
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to break down strategic initiatives into projects and manage competing priorities
