This Manager, People Operations role sits at the center of the global People function, bridging people strategy, regional requirements, and technology to ensure scalable, compliant, and seamless employee experiences across the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
**Future of People Operations & Automation**: Champion an AI-first and automation-first approach to People Operations. Drive adoption of Checkout.com's AI ecosystem (Glean, Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude) to improve productivity and employee experience. Partner with Knowledge managers to maintain operational content and enable best-in-class self-service through intelligent knowledge platforms.
**Strategic Operations, Risk & Compliance**: Lead People Business Continuity Planning to ensure critical operations resilience during disruptions. Own the end-to-end audit process for the People function, coordinating with internal and external auditors. Govern access management across People Technology platforms using least-privilege principles. Represent relevant entities in quarterly Risk Committee meetings with Board-level reporting. Operationalize employment law and regulatory changes across regions.
**Process Design & Technology**: Own the People Service Desk (JSM) development, using operational data to improve service delivery and self-service capabilities. Partner with People Leadership and Technology to maintain balanced roadmaps leveraging automation and emerging technologies. Act as the operational bridge between Process Architects and regional People teams, consolidating global requirements while respecting regional differences.
**Content & Policy Governance**: Lead governance of People policies ensuring clarity, compliance with global and local employment laws, and consistency across regions. Maintain the global policy framework with the Global Content Manager, ensuring regional variations are accurately reflected. Support operational content governance through standardized templates and review cycles.
**Program Leadership**: Lead key operational programs including annual policy reviews, leave cash-out processes, and employee on-call scheduling. Work with People Partners to identify pain points and translate business needs into prioritized roadmap initiatives.
