Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is seeking a Manager of Operations Program Management to lead a global team responsible for the successful launch of hardware products. The company operates the Connected Operations Cloud platform, enabling organizations in agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing to leverage IoT data for operational insights and improvements. In this role, you will manage a team of Operations Program Managers (OPMs) based in North America and Asia, overseeing the end-to-end operational execution of hardware product manufacturing from concept through mass production and sustained volume. You will serve as the primary operations liaison, aligning and communicating across Engineering, Product, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches. Key responsibilities include developing comprehensive program plans, managing schedules and budgets, and proactively mitigating risks to ensure on-time and on-cost delivery. You will define and execute manufacturing strategies in collaboration with internal teams and external partners, focusing on factory readiness, capacity planning, and process development. Additionally, you will drive cost reduction initiatives and ensure robust quality standards throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of progressive experience in Operations Program Management, New Product Introduction (NPI), or related roles within hardware manufacturing environments, with a minimum of 3 years managing a team of at least 4 individuals. You should have a proven track record of successfully launching multiple complex hardware products and a strong understanding of hardware development lifecycles and manufacturing processes. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing preferred), Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field is required; an MBA or MS is a plus. Expertise in program/project management methodologies and tools (Confluence/JIRA) is essential, with PMP certification preferred. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are critical, along with strong analytical abilities to identify problems, analyze data, and develop effective solutions in a fast-paced environment. This remote position requires up to 20% travel.
