Salary: USD 100,602 - 146,711 / annual
Oscar Health is seeking a Manager of Network Contracting to lead a team responsible for negotiating, executing, and analyzing contracts with large national and complex healthcare provider groups and systems. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing the provider network while meeting accessibility, quality, and financial goals.
You will manage a small team of contracting associates and specialists, providing leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction. Key responsibilities include implementing contracting strategies aligned with network adequacy and cost management objectives; negotiating contracts with healthcare providers to secure favorable terms and ensure regulatory compliance; conducting comprehensive reviews and analyses of provider contracts to identify optimization opportunities; and utilizing data analytics on provider financials and competitor strategies to inform negotiation decisions.
You will monitor key performance metrics for network performance, cost, and provider satisfaction, providing regular reports to leadership. The role involves dispute resolution and settlement negotiations, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. You'll build and maintain positive relationships with healthcare providers to ensure network stability and quality, and oversee the implementation of contracting policies and workflows to ensure effective processes.
This is a field-based remote position open to candidates residing in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, or Virginia. Daily work involves a blend of home office work and frequent local travel for client meetings, with occasional travel for team meetings and company events.
Required qualifications: 4+ years in healthcare network contracting (executing contracts with health systems, hospitals, or national providers, provider relations, or network management); 2+ years managing complex provider network strategies and negotiating complex contracts; 2+ years of people management experience; 2+ years in health insurance (Individual and/or Medicare Advantage) and/or healthcare industry. Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is a bonus.
