Super.com is seeking a Manager of Internal Controls to build the company's internal controls function from the ground up. This is a brand-new role reporting to the Corporate Controller, with direct ownership over designing and documenting Super.com's internal control framework, starting with the existing close process and evolving it into a fully auditable, evidenced system.
Key responsibilities include: designing and documenting the internal control framework with process maps, risk control matrices, and test plans; partnering with stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, Quality, IT, Engineering, and Business to identify, assess, and remediate control deficiencies; maturing IT General Controls including access management, segregation of duties, and change controls across core financial systems like NetSuite; designing control frameworks for new products and initiatives to ensure ICFR compliance from launch; serving as the primary contact for external auditors to coordinate evidence requests and remediation; and collaborating with IT and Engineering to develop best-in-class controls documentation, including AI-enabled tools.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of internal controls, SOX compliance, or audit experience spanning both public accounting and industry roles. You should have demonstrated success building or maturing controls programs from early stages, not just running established ones. Strong technical knowledge of Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) and hands-on IT General Controls experience is essential, ideally with NetSuite or comparable ERP systems. Excellent written communication skills are critical for translating control activities into clear, auditable documentation. A collaborative, relationship-first approach is valued, as you'll work with control owners who don't report to you. CPA, CIA, or equivalent certification is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
