Salary: USD 154,000 - 205,000 / annual
Datadog is seeking a Manager I for Technical Account Management to lead and develop high-performing technical teams in Chicago or Denver. In this role, you will manage up to 6 Technical Account Managers, providing coaching, mentorship, and regular performance feedback. You'll own team KPIs including scheduling, utilization, productivity, and delivery outcomes, while partnering closely with Sales, Customer Success, Presales, Product Management, Support, and Marketing to align post-sales strategy.
Key responsibilities include leading customer-facing engagements such as escalations, strategic reviews, and key account discussions; driving account strategy focused on product adoption and expansion; actively participating in recruiting and onboarding; gathering customer feedback to influence product direction; and leading multiple OKR initiatives annually. You'll demonstrate thought leadership by identifying improvement opportunities and executing scalable solutions that enhance customer experience and team effectiveness.
You should have 3+ years of management experience, ideally in technical or post-sales environments. You're a strong coach and mentor who invests in career development and builds inclusive, high-performing teams. You're experienced in cross-functional partnerships, comfortable leading customer conversations and navigating escalations with empathy, and data-driven in using metrics to inform decisions. You communicate clearly, influence without authority, and are passionate about continuous improvement and operational excellence.
