Figma is seeking a Manager, HRIS to lead the Workday platform and a team of HRIS Specialists. This role balances day-to-day operational excellence with strategic improvements to ensure Workday and people technology systems scale with the business. You will lead, coach, and develop a team of HRIS Specialists, building technical depth through cross-training and shared ownership across Workday functional areas (HCM, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Absence, Integrations). You'll evolve the team's operating model, including project intake, prioritization, sprint planning, capacity planning, and release management. Key responsibilities include managing work across internal HRIS team members and external implementation partners, balancing quality, speed, and cost. You'll provide governance and technical oversight for Workday configuration while contributing hands-on configuration for complex, high-impact, or business-critical initiatives. You'll partner closely with People, Payroll, IT, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver integrated solutions. You'll identify opportunities to improve processes, automate manual work, and increase operational efficiency across the systems ecosystem. You'll evaluate emerging technologies and AI-enabled capabilities, recommending solutions that enhance the employee and people team experience. You'll contribute to the evolution of the broader technology ecosystem by ensuring Workday integrates effectively with systems that support employees. Required qualifications: 8+ years in HRIS or People Technology with deep expertise in Workday configuration across multiple modules. Proven success leading and developing high-performing HRIS or People Technology teams. Demonstrated ownership of Workday delivery, including configuration governance, project intake, prioritization, sprint planning, and release management in a SOX-compliant environment. Strong track record managing work across internal teams and external implementation partners. Deep understanding of the broader People Technology ecosystem and how Workday integrates with enterprise systems, with curiosity about emerging technologies and AI.
