Zoox is building the world's first purpose-built autonomous robotaxi. The Fleet Operations team keeps the fleet available, utilized, and safe through 24/7 remote assistance, rider support, maintenance, repair, and on-road operations.
You will own training for the full Fleet Operations workforce, running an operational training leadership function rather than a corporate L&D role. Your responsibility is to certify crew members to perform safety-critical work and keep them current as the product, processes, and geographic footprint scale.
The scope spans two distinct training surfaces:
**Remote Operations:** A high-stakes contact center environment requiring nested coaching, pre-live certification, quality-driven upskilling, and trainer-to-learner ratios that scale with hiring ramps.
**Ground Operations:** On-the-ground fleet operations work and training programs supporting R&D Operations, including blended e-learning, hands-on training, and vehicle-in-the-loop instruction with dedicated training vehicles and site infrastructure.
You will lead a distributed organization of training program managers, instructional designers, training supervisors, trainers, and coordinators. You own the systems and processes that training operations depend on, ensuring consistent quality and safety standards across both remote and ground teams as the organization scales.
