You will lead global cash and transaction reconciliation for Airwallex's payments infrastructure. Your core responsibilities include owning end-to-end break investigation and resolution, managing daily/weekly/month-end reconciliations across channels, entities, and regions, and leading a reconciliation team.
Key responsibilities: Lead reconciliation workflows with clear SLAs and escalation paths; manage break triage, investigation, root-cause analysis, and cross-functional follow-up with Product, Engineering, Data, Ops, and banking partners; understand fund flows and transaction lifecycles to identify control gaps and design governance policies; drive continuous improvement through automation, data quality checks, and dashboards; translate operational needs into requirements and partner with Product/Engineering on enhancements; align reconciliation practices with product changes and regional requirements; lead, coach, and develop the reconciliation team with capacity planning and training.
Required qualifications: 5+ years in Financial Operations, reconciliation, payments operations, or related fintech roles; proven track record leading cash and settlement reconciliations at scale; strong understanding of end-to-end payment flows (authorization, capture, settlement, refunds, disputes); experience improving processes and systems through automation and workflow tooling; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work with large datasets; strong stakeholder management and communication; direct people leadership experience; proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets; SQL/BI tools experience is a plus.
