Chainguard is seeking a Manager of Enterprise Business Development for the APJ region to lead and mentor a growing team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs). You will be responsible for building out the BDR function, hiring and onboarding top talent, and developing strategies to optimize team performance against pipeline and revenue targets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and mentor a team of BDRs focused on outbound opportunity generation
- Hire, onboard, and develop BDRs with strong prospecting and qualification skills
- Provide ongoing coaching through weekly 1:1s and recurring feedback sessions
- Collaborate with Demand Generation on MQL quality and campaign effectiveness
- Work with Sales leadership to refine outbound strategies, qualification processes, and account coverage
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Product to develop effective messaging for target accounts
- Monitor and forecast weekly, monthly, and quarterly pipeline attainment
- Track team performance metrics and KPIs to drive BDR productivity improvements
- Ensure alignment between BDR strategy and company sales goals
You should have 2+ years of experience leading BDR teams, ideally in Cybersecurity, DevSecOps, Infrastructure, or Open Source Software domains. You'll need hands-on enablement and L&D experience, proficiency with CRM platforms and sales/marketing tools, strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, and proven ability to recruit and develop talent in fast-paced environments. The role is remote-first with flexibility, though APJ region location is required.
