Oscar Health is seeking a Manager of Data Mining to lead a team within the Payment Integrity department. This role oversees data mining auditors and vendor management in the post-payment integrity space, reporting to the Associate Director of Payment Integrity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading daily operations of the data mining team, delegating work strategically to internal auditors and external partners
- Overseeing quality control for data mining vendor submissions to ensure accuracy and alignment with program standards
- Developing team workflows and guidelines that produce consistent, measurable outcomes
- Training, teaching, and mentoring team members to improve proficiency and effectiveness
- Partnering with Oscar's technology and data science teams to establish algorithms for savings and recovery identification
- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of healthcare operations experience, 2+ years leading and developing teams, and 2+ years designing and improving business workflows. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required. Bonus qualifications include payment integrity experience at a health plan or vendor, healthcare claims adjudication knowledge, SQL proficiency, and medical coding certification (CPC, COC, CCS, RHIT, or RHIA).
This is a hybrid role based in Oscar's New York City office, requiring 3 days in-office per week with Thursdays as a mandatory in-office day. The base salary range is $111,780–$146,711 annually, with eligibility for performance bonuses, unlimited vacation, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid parental leave.
