Salary: USD 100,602 - 132,040 / annual
Oscar Health is seeking a Manager of Data Mining to lead a team within the Payment Integrity department. This role oversees data mining auditors and vendor management in the post-payment integrity space, reporting to the Associate Director of Payment Integrity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing quality control for data mining vendor submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance with program standards
- Leading daily operations of the data mining team, including strategic work delegation to internal auditors and external partners
- Developing team workflows and guidelines that produce consistent, measurable outcomes
- Training, mentoring, and developing team members to increase proficiency and effectiveness
- Partnering with Oscar's technology and data science teams to establish algorithms for savings and recovery identification
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations
The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of healthcare operations experience, 2+ years of team leadership experience, and 2+ years designing and improving business workflows. A bachelor's degree is required or equivalent professional experience. Bonus qualifications include payment integrity experience at a health plan, healthcare claims adjudication knowledge, SQL proficiency, and medical coding certifications (CPC, COC, CCS, RHIT, or RHIA).
This is a hybrid role based in Tempe, Arizona, requiring 3 days in-office per week with Thursdays mandatory for team meetings. Compensation includes base pay of $100,602–$132,040 annually, plus benefits, unlimited vacation, and annual performance bonuses.
