GCash, a leading fintech company in the Philippines, is seeking a Manager of Category Management to lead strategic procurement and vendor management for technology categories. In this role, you will own end-to-end procurement cycles for SaaS/Enterprise Software licenses, Hardware/Infrastructure, and Cloud Managed Services (AWS, Azure, GCP). You will conduct market research, cost modeling, and spend analysis to identify cost-optimization and vendor consolidation opportunities. You will design, execute, and evaluate complex RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs for high-value technical requirements. You will manage relationships with both local and international technology vendors, holding suppliers accountable to SLAs, KPIs, and delivery timelines. Responsibilities include monitoring vendor performance, conducting quarterly business reviews, and managing vendor risk, compliance, and data security requirements in collaboration with internal legal and IT security teams. This role requires leading high-stakes negotiations covering pricing models, licensing metrics, service level agreements, master service agreements, and data privacy terms. You will synthesize complex technical and commercial data into strategic presentations for executive leadership and drive maximum commercial value while mitigating financial, technical, and operational risks. You will partner closely with internal tech leads, CTOs, IT Directors, and Finance to align procurement strategies with technical architecture and corporate goals. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, with a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in strategic procurement and strategic sourcing. At least 2 years of dedicated experience managing and negotiating technology commodities (Software/SaaS, Hardware, and Cloud Services) is required.
