Blitzy is an AI software development platform transforming enterprise software development by autonomously building custom software. The company is backed by tier-1 investors and counts Fortune 500 companies among its customer base.
You will be the first people-leadership hire in Blitzy's Business Development function, building and managing the founding cohort of technically-fluent BDRs. This is a builder's role and player-coach position where you will establish playbooks, standards, and tooling while actively coaching and developing your team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Hiring, training, and developing the founding BDR cohort while maintaining territory coverage as the team scales
- Owning onboarding and enablement: running the 30-60-90 ramp curriculum, certification, and taped role-play gates; refining the hiring profile with Recruiting
- Daily coaching and weekly 1:1s focused on scorecard review, skill development (calls, objections, messaging), and pipeline walks with documented coaching notes
- Owning the metrics funnel: activity, connect rate, meetings booked and accepted (NBM), NBM-to-conversion, pipeline generated, and attainment
- Running the accepted-NBM/quota-relief workflow and auditing approvals for consistency
- Protecting the handoff between BDRs and Account Executives: spot-checking transitions, triaging drop-off, and partnering with AEs to manage pipeline quality
- Ensuring inbound leads are actioned within SLA and maintaining CRM and team data accuracy
- Creating spiffs for special motions, running QBRs, tracking attainment, and helping leadership evaluate tools and set best practices
- Assisting in career pathing for BDRs into Senior BDR and AE roles (typical progression: 16–18 months)
You report to the VP of Business Development and partner closely with Account Executives, Enablement, RevOps/Sales Productivity, and Recruiting.
Qualifications:
- Experience managing or coaching SDR/BDR reps, or a track record as a top-performing rep ready to lead, with demonstrated success developing early-career sellers
- Ability to teach rigorous discovery motion (MEDDPICC and pain funnel) and certify reps on tape
- Comfort in technical, enterprise, high-ACV sales motions; ability to coach reps to speak credibly with engineering leaders and CTOs
- Data-driven coaching instincts (familiarity with tools like Gong, HubSpot); focus on inspecting behavior, not just activity
- Builder's mindset: ability to create processes, hold high standards, iterate, with low ego and high curiosity
- Preferred: prior SDR/BDR leadership at enterprise SaaS or technical platform; familiarity with modern software-development concepts
