Anthropic is seeking a Manager, APAC Recruiting to lead all hiring operations across the Asia Pacific region as the company expands its presence. This is a senior leadership role requiring exceptional stakeholder management, operational rigor, and the ability to bridge regional business needs with global recruiting strategy.
You will partner directly with the Head of International Sales and APAC-based leadership team, serving as a consultative advisor with deep fluency in Asia Pacific talent markets. You'll bring executive presence to headcount and hiring decisions, translating between regional realities and global expectations.
Key responsibilities include building and leading a team of APAC-based recruiters across key markets (Japan, Korea, Australia, India, Singapore), managing all functional recruiting (G&A, GTM, Tech), and developing localized talent acquisition strategies aligned with business objectives. You'll drive senior-level searches including regional "Head of" positions and leadership roles, create recruiting strategies leveraging local market insights while maintaining global hiring standards, and establish metrics and dashboards to measure APAC recruiting effectiveness. The role requires extensive cross-functional collaboration with HR, Legal, Finance, and global recruiting peers across time zones, with limited overlap between APAC and US working hours.
Ideal candidates have 10+ years of recruiting experience with at least 4+ years leading recruiting teams, preferably in APAC or multi-country Asia Pacific environments. You should demonstrate expertise across all recruiting domains, strong understanding of employment law and compliance requirements across key APAC markets, and proven ability to build recruiting functions from the ground up in new geographic markets. Exceptional cross-cultural communication skills, comfort with ambiguity, and success as a cultural bridge between headquarters and regional offices are essential.
