Checkout.com is a global fintech platform powering over 10 billion transactions yearly for more than one billion shoppers. The company operates 20 offices across six continents with London as headquarters, serving major clients including eBay, Spotify, Klarna, Uber, and Sony. This role bridges strategy and execution to drive AI adoption across Legal, Risk, and Compliance functions. You will define and deliver a comprehensive AI transformation roadmap spanning people, process, and technology. Key responsibilities include identifying and prioritizing high-value AI use cases—starting with quick wins and scaling to enterprise-grade solutions—while partnering with Legal, Risk, and Compliance leaders to re-engineer workflows for improved quality, speed, and consistency. You will build AI fluency across teams through tailored change management, training programs, and hands-on guidance. A critical focus is designing and deploying AI-driven self-service mechanisms that enable the business to handle routine legal, risk, and compliance requests independently via intuitive, AI-powered tools. Success is measured by establishing a prioritized pipeline of high-impact AI use cases with measurable ROI, achieving widespread adoption of AI tools across internal functions, enabling stakeholder self-service for low-complexity high-volume requests, and reducing turnaround times and manual effort for core processes. The ideal candidate brings strong domain expertise in Legal, Risk, or Compliance with proven experience leading technology or operational transformation initiatives. You should have solid understanding of generative AI, contract lifecycle management (CLM) AI, and Legal AI tools. Demonstrated ability to bring cross-functional stakeholders along transformation journeys, translate ambiguous goals into concrete execution, drive user adoption, overcome hesitation toward new tools, and cultivate a culture of continuous learning is essential. Checkout.com operates a hybrid model with three days per week in-office to support collaboration and connection. The company emphasizes real ownership, fewer blockers, meaningful work from day one, and recognition for impact delivered.
