AppDirect is a subscription commerce platform enabling digital entrepreneurs worldwide to sell products through any channel on any device. This Manager, Accounting role leads the accounting function within a fast-growing, values-driven organization.
You will own the full accounting close cycle—monthly, quarterly, and year-end—ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all reporting cycles. Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements to support investor reporting, maintaining the general ledger with rigorous reconciliation practices, and developing internal financial controls that keep the organization audit-ready year-round. You'll partner with external auditors annually, coordinate documentation, and support acquisition-related financial integrations as the company grows.
You'll manage and develop a team of at least two direct reports, providing coaching, feedback, and clear direction on priorities. You'll also support multinational foreign entities and assist with financial consolidation processes, working cross-functionally across the finance and broader organization.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle close and financial reporting exposure. You have 2+ years managing direct reports in an accounting or finance function. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field is required; CPA designation is preferred. You're hands-on with NetSuite or comparable enterprise ERP systems, comfortable in conversations with auditors, investors, and leadership, and communicate clearly both written and verbally. Experience with mergers and acquisitions is a plus.
