Okendo is a customer marketing platform trusted by 16,000+ Shopify brands, offering Reviews, Referrals, Quizzes, Loyalty, and Surveys products. The company is scaling its Finance team and seeking a Management Accountant to own budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
In this role, you'll report to Pippa Strong and serve as the analytical backbone for financial planning and performance measurement. Key responsibilities include leading annual budget processes and rolling forecast cycles with department leaders, preparing accurate financial reports and management accounts for leadership, conducting variance analysis and performance reviews, and translating complex financial data into clear insights for non-finance stakeholders.
You'll examine operating costs across the business, identify efficiency opportunities, conduct pricing and sensitivity analysis to support commercial decisions, and benchmark financial performance against industry standards. Financial modelling is a core responsibility—you'll build and maintain models supporting valuation, capital investment appraisal, and expansion decisions, while appraising cash flow and financial risk of proposed projects.
Additionally, you'll help introduce and maintain accounting systems and internal controls to ensure financial processes scale cleanly as the company grows, and support compliance with relevant statutory and accounting standards. You'll act as a trusted finance partner to non-finance stakeholders, explaining financial stories and supporting strategic decision-making.
The role is fully remote, based in Australia, with a salary of AUD $100,000–$130,000 per annum. Success milestones include owning the full budgeting and forecasting cycle within 6 months, delivering process improvements and analyses that inform business decisions, and becoming a recognized financial advisor across departments by year one.
