As Management Accountant, you will be the financial backbone of the organization, producing accurate monthly management accounts and delivering insights that drive decision-making across the business. Your core responsibilities include preparing comprehensive monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis with detailed variance commentary; maintaining and reconciling balance sheet schedules; ensuring accurate accruals, prepayments, and journal postings; and supporting the month-end close process.
You will partner closely with the FP&A team and department leads on annual budgeting, periodic re-forecasts, and performance monitoring against budget. You'll conduct cost and margin analysis for products and projects, maintain cost center structures, and identify cost-saving opportunities and improvement areas. You'll also manage bank accounts, prepare payment runs, and maintain robust financial controls while ensuring compliance with accounting policies.
On the systems side, you'll work to improve reporting automation, ensure data accuracy across finance systems and spreadsheets, and contribute to process improvement initiatives. You'll support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
You should be part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) with proven management accounting or analytical finance experience. You'll need strong finance software familiarity, advanced Excel skills including financial modeling, and the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. Above all, you're analytically minded, proactive, collaborative, and commercially aware—someone who can challenge constructively and provide genuine insight into the numbers.
