Veo is a leading shared micromobility provider operating in over 60 North American cities, offering bikes, scooters, and accessible vehicles. As the first profitable micromobility company in North America, Veo designs and manufactures its own vehicles, hardware, and software in-house while operating local markets directly.
The Maintenance Operations Manager will oversee daily warehouse and maintenance operations for Veo's dockless micromobility program in the Alexandria market. This is a hands-on leadership role reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager, combining strategic oversight with operational execution.
Key responsibilities include: managing warehouse and maintenance operations; performing hands-on tasks such as moving vehicles, driving vans, and maintaining scooters; setting and managing daily routes for hourly maintenance associates; identifying operational gaps and developing solutions to improve fleet metrics; ensuring timely submission of fleet health data and maintenance requests; recruiting and training the local team; and managing inventory and parts ordering.
Success is measured by driving daily ridership, building a high-performing team, and delivering exceptional vehicle quality. The ideal candidate is self-directed, thrives in fast-paced environments, and has a bias for execution and customer service.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree; 3+ years in maintenance/auto repair (diagnosis through repair and QA); 1-2 years managing operations in fleet, warehousing, distribution, or similar fields; ability to routinely lift 60 lbs; ownership mindset with action bias; strong prioritization and quantitative decision-making skills; flexibility with scheduling; exceptional communication; and passion for sustainable transportation.
