Salary: USD 129,000 - 171,000 / annual

Anduril Industries is seeking a Loads and Dynamics Engineer to join the Air Dominance and Strike Aerostructures Engineering Team. This role is responsible for designing and analyzing advanced structural components for Group 5 air vehicles and missile platforms, owning the full development lifecycle from conceptual through detailed design and analysis. Key responsibilities include developing structural loads analysis for multiple air vehicles to ensure integrity under various flight and ground conditions; generating and maintaining integrated dynamics finite element models (FEMs) for loads derivation, aeroelastic flutter, and other analyses; conducting aeroelastic and aeroservoelastic studies to predict and verify aircraft behavior; performing flutter analysis to inform design and ensure flight safety; and generating flight loads data in accordance with MIL and FAR specifications (FAR 23, 25, JSSG-2006, etc.). You will collaborate with design engineers to develop structural optimization strategies based on loads analysis results, prepare detailed technical reports, and present findings to internal teams, management, and external customers. The role also involves developing and performing dynamics testing including vibration testing, modal testing, and ground vibration testing (GVT), as well as defining instrumentation and performing data processing for flight loads data acquisition. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in engineering or applied physics with a structures focus; 5+ years of experience in structures, dynamics, or loads-related roles with high ownership and accountability for hardware outcomes; deep understanding of statics, dynamics, solid mechanics, materials science, finite element analysis, and dynamic testing; proficiency in FEMAP, Nastran, or similar tools; proficiency in Matlab, Python, or similar languages for developing analytical models and automation; and eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance. Preferred qualifications include prior focus on aircraft flight loads, aeroelastic or flutter analysis (including transonic, supersonic, or hypersonic flight), ground loads, or noise and vibration; ability to develop workflow automation tools; familiarity with loads or structural compliance for JSSG-2006, FAR 23, 25, or similar standards; and structural or dynamics testing experience including system identification, sine, random, shock, and flight testing with sensor selection, data acquisition, and post-processing expertise.
