Remote is a global HR platform enabling businesses to recruit, pay, and manage international teams compliantly across 80+ countries. The Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations & Transitions role is a critical position within the Lifecycle team, serving as an extension of clients' HR departments. The specialist manages end-to-end employee exits (offboardings) across multiple international jurisdictions (AMER, EMEA, APAC), ensuring legal compliance and delivering superior customer service. Key responsibilities include handling terminations, resignations, transfers, employment contracts, and redundancy processes while maintaining strict confidentiality and professionalism. The role also involves providing first-level employee relations support, guiding clients through workplace concerns and coordinating appropriate resources. You will work autonomously within a larger Lifecycle team, contributing to process improvements and strategic initiatives aligned with Remote's values of innovation and excellence. The position requires managing complex HR issues across ambiguous and unfamiliar environments, interpreting employment laws spanning various jurisdictions, and providing practical solutions to clients and internal stakeholders. Required qualifications include HR advisor or HR business partner experience with generalist competencies across the employee lifecycle. You must have proven expertise in managing voluntary and involuntary exits with care, sensitivity, and legal compliance. Strong understanding of employee relations principles, progressive discipline, and workplace investigation fundamentals is essential. Excellent communication, conflict management, and negotiation skills are critical, particularly for leading difficult conversations while maintaining professionalism. Additional requirements: advanced English proficiency (written and spoken), with additional languages a plus; tech-savvy with ability to collaborate asynchronously; proactive, self-motivated approach with strong ownership; efficiency in operations and record-keeping; and willingness to work flexible hours in a fast-paced, remote environment.
