Remote is a global HR compliance platform that enables organizations to recruit, pay, and manage international teams across 80+ countries. The Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations & Transitions role is a critical position within the Lifecycle team, serving as an extension of clients' HR departments.
In this role, you will manage end-to-end employee exits (offboardings) across multiple international jurisdictions (AMER, EMEA, APAC), ensuring legal compliance and delivering superior customer service. You'll provide first-level employee relations support, guiding clients through workplace concerns and coordinating appropriate resources. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing voluntary and involuntary terminations with sensitivity and legal precision across diverse regulatory environments
- Advising clients on termination, resignation, transfer procedures, employment contracts, and redundancy processes
- Providing comprehensive HR guidance on employment laws and regulations spanning various jurisdictions
- Conducting workplace investigations and applying progressive discipline approaches
- Leading difficult conversations with conflicting parties while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
- Contributing to process improvements and automation initiatives aligned with Remote's strategic goals
- Maintaining thorough record-keeping and data integrity
You'll work asynchronously in a fully remote, international team environment with colleagues across 6 continents. The role requires strong HR generalist competencies, proven experience managing exits, ability to interpret complex employment law, excellent communication skills, and business-level English proficiency. Additional languages are a plus. You should be tech-savvy, self-motivated, capable of working autonomously with multiple priorities, and committed to continuous innovation and process optimization.
