Norm AI is an agentic law company pioneering Legal Engineering—a process that empowers lawyers to build and supervise domain-specific AI agents using proprietary no-code software tools. The company serves a client base with combined assets under management in the trillions and has raised $85M from top-tier VCs and institutions including Vanguard, Blackstone, Bain Capital, and Coatue.
As a Legal Recruiter, you will own full-cycle recruiting to help scale Norm AI's Legal Engineering team, a critical department, while also hiring across Sales and Operations. You'll report to leadership and work directly with hiring managers and founders to define roles, identify ideal candidate profiles, and build scalable recruiting processes tailored to a high-growth startup environment.
Key responsibilities include sourcing and screening candidates, conducting interviews, negotiating offers, and managing onboarding. You'll drive creative sourcing strategies to identify passive candidates, maintain strong market intelligence on competitive hiring trends, and represent Norm AI to build employer brand and candidate pitch. You'll track pipeline metrics and recruiting performance, delivering a top-tier candidate experience throughout the process.
Required: 5+ years full-cycle recruiting experience with a proven track record of attracting top talent. You must thrive in ambiguity, excel at building processes from scratch, and demonstrate excellent cross-functional communication and influence. You must be based in or willing to relocate to NYC and comfortable with a hybrid model (3–4 days in-office per week).
Pluses include experience hiring in AI, ML, or LegalTech; background at early-stage venture-backed companies; and familiarity with Ashby ATS.
Compensation: $130,000–$180,000 annually plus equity. Comprehensive benefits include 401(k) with employer match, top-tier health/dental/vision/accident insurance, and relocation reimbursement for candidates relocating to NYC.
