The Legal Partnerships Manager role focuses on building and managing strategic relationships with law firms, investment banks, compliance consultants, and other business partners worldwide.
You will own the complete partnership lifecycle—from identifying high-value opportunities and negotiating agreements to managing ongoing relationships that drive measurable business outcomes. This position sits at the intersection of business development, relationship management, and strategic planning, with a specific focus on growing Carta Law's distribution through converting potential competitors into active referral partners and collaborators.
Key responsibilities include identifying and structuring partnerships that expand Carta Law's reach, managing senior relationships across complex multi-stakeholder organizations, and working closely with legal delivery, sales, marketing, and operations teams. You'll be joining the Carta Law Sales team, which manages the full client lifecycle from onboarding through building deep, lasting relationships with fund managers and their legal teams.
The ideal candidate has 4+ years in partnerships or account management, preferably with experience building partnership channels from scratch via law firms, asset management firms, or professional services firms. You should have a strong understanding of the private markets ecosystem (PE, VC, credit, real assets) and how legal and compliance workstreams operate within it. You're commercially sharp, able to structure and close partnership deals, and comfortable managing senior stakeholder relationships. Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred) is valued. This is a role for someone proactive and self-directed who thrives building something from the ground up.
