Parallel is a web infrastructure company that enables leading businesses to build AI agents with programmatic access to the web. The company has raised $230M from top-tier VCs (Kleiner Perkins, Sequoia, Index Ventures, Spark Capital, Khosla Ventures, First Round, Terrain) and is valued at $2B. In this role, you will own and operate Parallel's contracts management system end-to-end, serving as the primary Ironclad administrator. Your responsibilities include building and maintaining contract workflows, routing approvals and signatures, troubleshooting system issues, and ensuring the contract repository remains reliable for reporting and compliance. You will also handle direct contract negotiation for smaller commercial items (NDAs, order forms) within established playbooks. For matters outside standard playbooks, you'll triage issues and provide clear recommendations to counsel. The team leverages AI tooling for first-pass contract markup and playbook compliance checks, and you'll use these tools to accelerate your work. You bring 5+ years of experience in contracts, legal operations, or commercial legal support at a technology or SaaS company. You have hands-on Ironclad administration experience—building workflows from scratch and debugging existing ones. You've negotiated contracts independently and understand which issues warrant spending organizational goodwill. You're tech-fluent, experienced with AI tooling in contract review or legal ops, and have informed perspectives on AI capabilities and limitations. Bonus experience includes building agentic workflows to streamline work across legal, sales, and procurement functions. You are detail-oriented and operations-obsessed, preferring to fix processes rather than repeat them. You communicate clearly and directly. A JD or paralegal certification is helpful but not required. Parallel operates fully in-person from its Palo Alto HQ and San Francisco office. The organization is flat and talent-dense, focused on solving technical and creative problems with high impact. The team values owning customer outcomes, obsessing over craft, accelerating change, creating win-wins, and making high-conviction bets.
