As Legal Operations Manager, you will architect and run a best-in-class Legal & Compliance function reporting to the General Counsel. You will own the operational roadmap, intake and routing systems, operating cadence, and cross-functional execution across major initiatives. Key responsibilities include optimizing the contract lifecycle management (CLM) platform and procurement workflows, building dashboards for request volume, contract cycle time, outside-counsel spend, audit findings, and policy implementation. You will plan and coordinate corporate, contract, employment, and audit cycles; build a durable knowledge base and self-service guidance; manage materials and trackers for financials, corporate governance, Board processes, and entity records; and coordinate policy updates and core training rollouts.
You will manage budgets, invoices, accruals, outside-counsel relationships, and vendor performance. This is a high-autonomy role requiring you to act like an owner and commit to Forus' success. The company is at a defining growth stage, and the systems you build now will shape how the legal function operates as the company scales. You will work in a high-trust environment with high standards for pace, execution, and impact.
Minimum five years of legal operations experience required, ideally with paralegal background. You should have expertise deploying AI tools and technical solutions, experience with CLM, matter intake, knowledge management, procurement, legal technology, and data-driven operations. Outstanding written and verbal communication, ability to move quickly and find shortcuts, and a track record of high teammate satisfaction are essential.
