As a Legal Engineer for EMEA (Intellectual Property), you will be a qualified lawyer from a top-tier law firm who bridges legal expertise and AI innovation. You'll work alongside Account Executives to drive sales strategy by securing the "legal win"—performing in-depth customer discovery and education on Harvey's solutions with law firm partners, associates, and in-house attorneys at private equity firms and Fortune 500 companies.
Key responsibilities include: engaging with lawyers at existing and prospective customers to understand workflow challenges and demonstrate Harvey's AI value; establishing credibility as an expert in solving specific legal problems (e.g., legal research, contract drafting and analysis, due diligence, corporate governance); leading tailored product demonstrations for various practice groups and in-house teams; partnering with marketing to develop practice-area-specific content; acting as the "Voice of the Customer" to inform sales strategy and product development; conducting competitive and customer research; and representing Harvey as a credible, substantive partner in applying AI to legal work.
You must be qualified to practice law in England & Wales with at least 3 years of experience at a top-tier UK law firm, with background in Intellectual Property or in-house legal teams. You'll need strong executive engagement skills, outstanding presentation abilities for both legal and executive audiences, deep understanding of legal processes and challenges, curiosity about AI's transformative potential, and ideally prior sales, business development, or client-facing experience. Travel may be required for customer visits and company office meetings.
