Salary: USD 175,000 - 225,000 / annual

As a Legal Engineer - Agent Deployment, you will serve as a pivotal legal subject matter expert at the intersection of law, technology, and client success. Your primary responsibility is to deeply engage with clients navigating complex compliance and regulatory challenges using the Norm AI platform. You will guide client onboarding and lifecycle engagement, ensuring clients maximize platform value while achieving their business objectives.
You will collaborate closely with Client Engagement, Sales, Legal Engineering, and AI Engineering teams to deliver seamless client experiences and proactive solutions. You will translate legal, compliance, and business issues into actionable insights, becoming a trusted partner by surfacing client feedback and identifying platform enhancement opportunities. You will leverage internal tools to develop automated analysis of regulations tailored to client needs.
Key responsibilities include: serving as the regulatory and compliance expert in client engagements, interpreting and applying laws and regulations to provide personalized guidance; analyzing legal and regulatory documents and preparing collateral for tailored solutions; providing sophisticated insights connecting regulatory requirements to platform capabilities and client obligations; leveraging internal tools to customize automated legal analysis; obtaining and presenting feedback that shapes product enhancements; preparing compelling presentations and legal collateral; and identifying and resolving client issues through coordination with internal teams.
The role requires comfort presenting and navigating nuanced regulatory and compliance discussions, with willingness to go above and beyond through in-person client sessions, complex documentation analysis, and strategic initiatives that advance Norm AI's mission.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree
- 4+ years as a lawyer working on regulatory enforcement and compliance matters in the financial sector
- 4+ years of experience with: Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint; Westlaw; LexisNexis; Intelligize; Bloomberg Law; SEC EDGAR; PACER; Relativity; DISCO; TAR; iManage; Adobe Acrobat; Litera Compare
- Significant experience working with legal professionals, compliance officers, or in highly regulated industries (financial services, insurance)
- Exceptional communication skills with proven ability to convey complex legal and regulatory concepts in client-friendly manner
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex client relationships
- Highly independent, comfortable operating as individual contributor
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
- Willingness to adapt, taking on both leadership and supportive roles as needed
