Salary: CAD 80,000 - 100,000 / annual
Affirm is seeking a Learning Specialist II to lead and deliver an exceptional onboarding experience for new employees. This role sits within the People team and combines facilitation, program management, and continuous improvement to scale people programs across the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serve as the primary onboarding point of contact for new hires and hiring managers, monitoring and responding to onboarding inquiries across multiple channels
- Deliver engaging virtual and in-person training events to new hires during their first 90 days
- Lead onboarding projects end-to-end, partnering cross-functionally with Workplace, IT, and other teams to ensure seamless execution
- Support development and delivery of learning assets including slide decks, eLearning modules, and job aids
- Manage onboarding program logistics: calendaring, communications, tracking deliverables, and coordinating new hire materials
- Administer and maintain onboarding content and tasks in Workday Learning
- Keep core onboarding documentation current, including Notion pages and email communications
- Analyze internal data and conduct external research to identify trends and recommend onboarding improvements
- Travel to facilitate onsite onboarding events and support team initiatives (estimated 1-2 times quarterly)
Required qualifications:
- 3+ years of program management experience, ideally in people-related programs or at organizations scaled beyond 2,500 employees
- 2+ years analyzing data and making recommendations based on insights
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities in virtual and in-person settings
- Ability to simplify complex information and help employees find needed resources
- Collaborative team player who builds stable working relationships
- Continuous improvement mindset grounded in user feedback and industry insights
