Affirm is seeking a Learning Specialist II to lead and deliver an exceptional onboarding experience for new employees. This role sits within the People team and combines facilitation, program management, and continuous improvement to scale people programs across the organization.
Key responsibilities include serving as the primary onboarding point of contact for new hires and hiring managers, delivering engaging virtual and in-person training events within the first 90 days, and leading onboarding projects from conception through execution. You will partner cross-functionally with teams like Workplace and IT to ensure seamless delivery. The role also involves developing and supporting learning assets (slide decks, eLearning modules, job aids), managing onboarding program logistics (calendaring, communications, tracking), and administering content in Workday Learning.
You will maintain core onboarding documentation, keep Notion pages current, and update communications to reflect program changes. A key aspect of this role is analyzing internal data and conducting external research to identify trends and recommend improvements to the onboarding experience. You will travel an estimated one to two times quarterly to facilitate onsite onboarding events and support team initiatives.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years of program management experience, preferably with people-related programs or at organizations scaled beyond 2,500 employees. You should possess excellent analytical skills and 2+ years of experience analyzing data and making recommendations. You demonstrate a continuous improvement mentality, strong communication and presentation skills across virtual and in-person settings, and the ability to simplify complex information. Collaboration and teamwork are essential, with a passion for helping employees find the information they need.
