Rocket Lab is seeking a Learning & Development Advisor II to lead and enhance the company's learning programmes across its sites. This senior individual contributor role reports to the L&D Team Lead and is responsible for designing cutting-edge learning solutions, driving talent development initiatives, and measuring training impact.
Key responsibilities include:
**Learning Programme Design & Delivery**: Design and develop advanced learning programmes using digital tools and instructional design techniques. Create engaging training content including e-learning modules and instructor-led sessions based on adult learning principles. Update and enhance training materials for relevance and effectiveness.
**Talent Development**: Support apprenticeship programmes to build pipelines for critical skillsets. Partner with managers to develop competency-based matrices and role-based training plans that address skill gaps.
**Stakeholder Engagement**: Build strong relationships with internal departments and external partners to align learning initiatives with business objectives. Foster connections with educators and industry experts. Collaborate with People & Culture teams and department managers on continuous improvement.
**Impact Measurement**: Develop evaluation tools to measure training effectiveness. Analyse participant feedback and training metrics to drive data-informed improvements. Report on training outcomes and provide strategic recommendations.
**Strategic Support**: Contribute to career development frameworks and pathways. Train managers on training reports and competency matrix tools. Mentor junior L&D team members.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in HR, Education, Business Management, or related field. Minimum 5 years L&D or related experience. Proven track record designing and delivering effective training programmes. Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design. Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills. Proficiency with learning management systems and e-learning software. Strong organisational and project management abilities.
Desirable: Experience in production, manufacturing, or technical industries. Training and development certification. Experience with AI in L&D environments.
